2017 Conference Call for Papers

October 19-21, 2017 – Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary – S. Hamilton, MA

Paper Proposal Submission Deadline: May 15, 2017

Work continues in preparation for our annual October EHS conference. This year is a celebration of 20 years of EHS as the preferred academic society for evangelical homileticians and practitioners. At the heart of our society is the presentation of papers demonstrating research on current issues and items of interest. The quality and stimulation provided by these papers is a contribution for which EHS grateful.

This is the initial call for paper proposals for our October gathering, hosted by Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. The theme is “What Makes Evangelical Homiletics Evangelical?” Drs. Derek Tidball and Scott Gibson will lead our plenary presentations in response to this question. Your paper proposal may focus on the conference theme or consider another issue. All proposals are considered blindly by a jury of EHS members for possible presentation at the conference. On the EHS website you will discover the guidelines and form for proposing a paper or use these links to download the information: pdf | rtf. They have been updated for our 20th Anniversary Celebration.
Make your plans now to join us for this special celebration as we return to GCTS as the launching pad for EHS in 1997. Even better, give some reflective thought about offering to contribute to our guild by proposing a paper of interest and insight for your fellow homileticians.
